Getting Bored? Just Look In The Mirror! [May. 24th, 2015|07:53 pm]

Over the years, as I matured in my passion for smoking, at times I began to think "Is that all there is?". I mean you puff, you inhale and then you exhale. Sure it feels great, especially after a long time without a smoke, but as with anything else the human animal can get bored.

Now, if you've read my thread about re-breathing your own exhaled smoke you can easily see where that occasional boredom has led me. That very special ritual is probably a bit too adventurous for many of you smokers, but here's one that any smoker of any experience level can whole-heartedly enjoy.

As with so many problems, sometimes we just need to look in the mirror to see who needs to make changes. And, for the smoking fetishists among us, smoking is no exception to this rule. If you're getting bored with smoking, something you love so much, just spice it up a bit. Wait until you're all alone so you won't be self-conscious and get that hand-held mirror from the bathroom.

Sit down where you're most comfortable and light up your favorite smoke. Be sure the area is well lit. Hold up the mirror, oh so close to your face, so you can watch yourself taking a large puff. Now, this next step is important. Don't just inhale as usual, but slowly open your mouth so you can see your mouthful of creamy, delicious smoke. Watch how it undulates in cascading waves over your tongue. Savor the smooth taste. You begin to realize just how beautiful it really is, and how little you were aware of it before. Suddenly, you know in your heart that you can't resist it ... it's calling you!

So, now for the best part. Slowly, and I mean very slowly, inhale the creamy smoke as you watch it all travel so fluidly down and into your anxious lungs. It's very difficult for me to convey just how dramatic and sensual this can be. It's like a river of clouds flowing downhill to where it has always been meant to be. Hold the smoke for about a second. Then, once again slowly, watch as you steadily exhale. Notice how thick it is - how gorgeous the cloudy flow looks against your pursed lips. Most importantly, listen closely to what your body is telling you. Unlike all those countless normal daily drags, this one feels heavenly!

P.S. I almost forgot! If you first lean your head way back with the mirror over you you'll find the smoke will stay neatly nested in your mouth much more easily since it's actually heavier than air. Plus, this gives you more time to gaze at it in the mirror before sending it down where it truly belongs.
